Renowned insider Jeff Grubb has suggested that confirmation could coincide with the franchise’s 20th anniversary, set for March 22. This date is particularly significant, as it marks the North American release of the original game, whereas European fans had to wait until July 7.

Potential Enhancements in a Remaster

Details about what the remaster might entail remain sparse. Nonetheless, it is reasonable to presume that a new version would deliver substantial graphical improvements compared to earlier remasters. The initial two games were given a facelift for the PlayStation 3, while the final installment was remastered for the PlayStation 4.
