Many Love After Lockup fans took to X, expressing their disapproval of Michael’s violent reaction to his son’s actions, especially in light of the fact that he was angry about his child destroying his phone.

“Why do these kids even have such expensive phones? And why would Michael resort to punching walls while disciplining his son? This is a terrible way to model conflict resolution. I guess prison changes a man,”one viewer commented.

“Michael’s upset that his child broke his phone, yet he reacts by losing it and punching a hole in the wall. Is it any wonder his kids are learning this kind of behavior?”another fan remarked.

“Michael’s having a meltdown and Justine didn’t even react…,”a third viewer noted.

“Instead of boot camp for those kids, Michael should focus on learning how to parent and manage his anger,”added another follower.

Moreover, some fans criticized Michael for complaining about work responsibilities while preparing for the arrival of a ninth child.

“If you hadn’t had so many kids and didn’t live in that big house, you might not have to work as hard, Michael. Just saying,”an X user replied.

“Michael’s upset over a $1500 phone being broken by his child. A $1500 phone for a kid? Seriously? And then he proceeds to act out by punching a hole in the wall. The irony is thick,”another fan observed.

“Michael’s upset about having to work. Welcome to the realities of adulthood and parenthood, tough luck,”a viewer added.
