“Poor child, you messed up the money” – Joaquin Buckley sends Kevin Holland a message after KO win over Vicente Luque at UFC Atlantic City
Upon Joaquin Buckley’s decision to switch back to welterweight, he has experienced immense success by securing three consecutive victories as a rising contender.
At UFC Atlantic City on March 30, he competed against Vicente Luque in the co-main event. During the second round, ‘New Mansa’ secured a TKO victory, potentially propelling him to the no.11 spot in the welterweight rankings, currently held by Luque.
Despite their past rivalry, Buckley’s former opponent Kevin Holland is currently ranked at no. 14 in the division. During the post-fight press conference, the 29-year-old was asked if he would consider a rematch with ‘Trailblazer’, as he had previously called him out.
The welterweight contender replied by stating this:
“I don’t want it back anymore. He lost to [Michael Venom Page]. Damn, poor child, you messed up the money. Like I said, I was hunting him down the whole time and I was trying to get the opportunity, he didn’t want to give it to me. So now we’re just looking forward.”

MMA fighter Joaquin Buckley dissatisfied with potential Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight
Joaquin Buckley was surprised to learn that the highly anticipated boxing match between legendary boxer Mike Tyson and social media influencer Jake Paul had been officially confirmed.
The recent announcement of the exhibition boxing match has sparked a range of reactions from both fans and fighters. While some show support for the bout, others have expressed concern due to the significant thirty-year age difference between the two opponents.
At the time of the July 20 fight, ‘Iron Mike’ will be 58 years old, whereas Paul will only be 27.
After his win against Vicente Luque at UFC Atlantic City this weekend, ‘New Mansa’ addressed the media and shared his thoughts on the upcoming Tyson vs. Paul fight.
He uttered these words:
“I’m a little upset about that. I don’t even know how they allowed that fight to happen. Definitely with a thirty-year difference. But if my boy Jake Paul hurts Mike Tyson I might have to come after him. I might have to stick that dog on him.”[1:50-2:10 in Joaquin Buckley’s interview]
