This year’s Small Yet Strong event presents an excellent opportunity for trainers to immerse themselves in new experiences, including the shiny debuts of two Pokémon: Nymble and its evolved form, Lokix. As a Bug-type Pokémon, Nymble enhances its appeal as players look to complete their Pokédex.

A noteworthy highlight is that Nymble will have an increased spawn rate, including its shiny variant. To maximize your chances of encountering this rare Pokémon, stay vigilant and tap on every Nymble that appears on your map. Once you catch a shiny Nymble, you can evolve it into a shiny Lokix by gathering 50 Nymble candies, obtainable through catching more Nymble, utilizing rare candies, or by walking it as your buddy.

In addition to Nymble, trainers can expect an exciting roster of six additional Pokémon featuring enhanced spawn rates during the Small Yet Strong event. Featured Pokémon include Gen 1 favorites like Paras, Natu, Joltik, and Tynamo. While none of these Pokémon are classified as rare, they don’t frequently appear in Pokémon GO, making this event a prime time to catch up on any you may have missed.

Burmy will be available in all three of its forms: Plant, Sandy, and Trash, while Flabébé will pop up in various forms specific to your location, including Blue, Red, and Yellow. Interestingly, the White and Orange versions will be available to all players, albeit at a reduced spawn rate.

Moreover, the event brings adjustments to the hatching pools of 2km Eggs, which will yield six specific Pokémon including Togepi, Azurill, Budew, Chingling, Espurr, and Dedenne when obtained during this timeframe. The hatchlings will emerge as one of these Pokémon irrespective of when the distance is covered. The 5km, 10km, and 12km eggs will retain their previous contents.

The event will spotlight two formidable Pokémon in the 5-Star Raid category: Dialga and Enamorus in its Incarnate form. Dialga will be available for the duration, but Enamorus will replace it as the star 5-star raid boss starting February 6. Known for its robust attack stats, Dialga remains a recommended choice for raid encounters.

Additionally, trainers can look forward to two Mega Raids. The first day will showcase Mega Medicham, transitioning to Mega Tyranitar from February 6 onward. Successful completion of these raids allows trainers to catch these strong Pokémon, but be prepared to team up with at least two players, as effective counters to the raid bosses will be essential for victory.
