The recent Pokémon Presents 2025 livestream, held on February 27, honored the 29th anniversary of the original Pokémon Red and Green games. This annual event showcases major highlights from the franchise, emphasizing its lasting impact on global pop culture since its inception.
One of the standout announcements from the livestream was the forthcoming launch of a new booster pack for Pokémon TCG Pocket, arriving just a day after the presentation. This release follows closely on the heels of the previous expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, which featured cards focused on Generation 4 Pokémon. This rapid succession keeps players engaged and eager for new gameplay strategies.

Notably, Arceus EX boasts a new capability known as Fabled Luster, which enhances its defensive capabilities by shielding it from special conditions. Being a colorless card, Arceus EX can seamlessly integrate into decks varying across energy types, facilitating unique strategies for players.
This new pack introduces several abilities that interact positively with Arceus EX. These abilities can boost attacking power by 30, mitigate opponents’ attack strength, deliver direct damage to active Pokémon, lessen energy costs for attacks, or even eliminate retreat costs entirely. Such mechanics promise to enrich gameplay experiences and tactical depth within the Pokémon TCG Pocket.





In addition to new card revelations, the trailer has signaled the return of ranked player-versus-player (PvP) battles in Pokémon TCG Pocket, set to commence at the end of March. This timeline provides players ample opportunity to refine their decks around Arceus EX and explore other new cards before facing off against opponents in ranked matches. Moreover, as an enticing bonus, from now until April 30, 2025, players can expect an increased chance of obtaining cards with three-diamond rarity or higher from booster pack openings.
