Pokemon GO has officially announced its new season, Might and Mastery, along with the dates for its launch. Players can expect to embark on new quests starting from March 4, with the season running through early June until June 3.
The highly anticipated Pokemon Day 2025 event took place on February 27, marking the 29th anniversary of the franchise’s inception with the release of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan. This year’s event showcased significant upcoming titles, notably unveiling the exciting starter Pokémon for the new Pokemon Legends: Z-A: Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig.
Although the reveal of Might and Mastery was briefly covered during the showcase—its title having leaked a day prior—the official Pokemon GO Twitter account has since attempted to engage fans by hinting at possible new adventures. In a short video associated with their announcement, Team Rocket Balloons and Poke Stops are highlighted, alongside a silhouette of an Audino outside a Gym and a towering Dynamax Kubfu, suggesting intriguing content to look forward to.

- Start Date: March 4, 2025
- End Date: June 3, 2025
Despite the focus on Might and Mastery during the Pokemon Presents event being somewhat minimal—only a brief on-screen mention—there is another exciting event slated to occur just before the new season kicks off. The Pokemon GO Tour: Unova – Global will take place from March 1-2, where players worldwide can join in on the action featuring Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in Raid Battles. Players will also have the opportunity to secure a Shiny Aria Forme Meloetta through Masterwork Research and Victini with the Tour Pass Deluxe.

Feedback from fans in response to the Twitter announcement indicates a sense of frustration due to the limited details surrounding Might and Mastery, especially with its imminent launch merely five days away. In contrast, the current season of Pokemon GO, Dual Destiny, had significant information released a whole week before it commenced, showcasing returning Pokémon like Hoopa, Reshiram, and Zekrom along with new debuts of Sinistea and Polteageist, among other exciting features.
