Pokemon GO has officially announced an exciting Raid Day scheduled for March 23, centering on the formidable Mega Absol. This is part of a series of raids available to trainers throughout March, presenting an excellent opportunity to enhance their Pokémon collections.

From now until March 13, players will have the chance to engage in battles against the legendary trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in five-star raids. Following this period, Tapu Koko, who knows Nature’s Madness, will take their place until March 22. Afterward, trainers can look forward to encountering Heatran, which will grace raids until March 31. Additionally, players seeking new Max Pokémon can challenge Dynamax Drilbur until March 10, with Dynamax Chansey stepping in on March 17, Dynamax Caterpie on March 23, and Dynamax Scorbunny making an appearance on March 29.

In relation to the recently announced Raid Day, Mega Absol will take center stage on March 23, occurring from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Throughout this timeframe, trainers can battle and capture the Mega evolved version of this Generation 3 Pokémon. Notably, after the event, Absol can learn the Charged Attack Brutal Swing, useful in both trainer battles and Gyms with varying power levels of 55 and 65. Also, during this Raid Day, the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20, from March 20 at 5 PM to March 23 at 8 PM, along with the possibility of acquiring Shiny Mega Absol.

To optimize the experience during Raid Day featuring Mega Absol, Pokemon GO will offer a paid ticket priced at $5. Owners of this ticket will receive eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, enhanced chances of obtaining Candy XL, as well as 50% more XP and double Stardust for participating in Mega Absol raids. Additionally, a new Timed Research event will be introduced, rewarding players with 10, 000 Stardust plus an extra 1, 000 Stardust. Furthermore, the Pokemon GO Web Store will feature a $5 package that includes an event ticket accompanied by a bonus Premium Battle Pass.

While Mega Absol is a major highlight for this Raid Day event, trainers should also be aware of other intriguing Mega Pokémon available throughout March. Until March 13, players can challenge Mega Lucario in raids, followed by Mega Marshtomp until March 22. After that, players can look forward to Mega Pinsir leading the Mega Raids from March 23 until March 31.
