The lineup for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 has been finalized, including 49 competing teams. Out of these, 48 squads will vie for positions in the League Stage, while Guild Esports has received an exclusive invitation, securing their spot directly in the Grand Finals. This marks the fifth iteration of the tournament, set to commence on October 31, 2024, with a staggering prize pool of $3 million up for grabs.
The structure of this year’s championship closely mirrors that of the 2023 season. During the League Stage, the 48 teams will battle for just 15 coveted spots in the Grand Finals. Malaysia will host the League Stage, while the ultimate showdown will take place in the United States.

The League Stage will unfold over three distinct rounds: Group Stage, Survival, and Last Chance. From the Group Stage, nine teams will qualify, along with six additional teams from the Last Chance round, to secure their place in the PMGC Grand Finals. The event organizers have already announced the group assignments for the initial stage.
The reigning champions, IHC Esports, have automatically secured entry into the League Stage. The Mongolian team encountered significant challenges in their regional competitions this year and will strive to defend their PMGC championship title.
Several leading PUBG Mobile teams will showcase their skills at the event. Alpha7 Esports, fresh off their victory at PMWC 2024, stands out as a strong contender for this year’s title, showcasing consistent performance over the last three years.
The well-known Indonesian team, Bigetron Knights, will also make their presence felt at PMGC 2024, looking to regain their footing on the global stage. Other notable contenders include Faze Clan, Dplus KIA, Vampire, and Team Liquid, all vying for top honors. Additionally, Team Falcons, featuring former members of Stalwart Esports, is expected to make a significant impact, given that their previous roster finished as the runner-up in the last edition.
