Investigation into the games available on Google’s Wear OS reveals a limited selection, prompting user ZenonDesingk to take the plunge and attempt to run older AAA titles on the Galaxy Watch 5. However, this venture was fraught with challenges. As reported by Android Police, the process of downloading and installing APKs directly onto the smartwatch via a browser was unsuccessful. To overcome this hurdle, ZenonDesingk utilized the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and downloaded the Bugjaeger mobile ADB app on his smartphone.

This innovative hack required both the Galaxy Watch 5 and the smartphone to be on the same wireless network, which was crucial for avoiding compatibility issues. Once connected, ZenonDesingk was able to push APK files to the smartwatch, including a PSP emulator. However, even with creativity and persistence, running these games required additional adjustments, and due to the complexities of the process, it is not advisable for others to attempt this method just yet. The intricacies involved might turn out to be more trouble than it’s worth for the average user.

To facilitate gameplay, a Bluetooth gamepad was employed, revealing the limitations inherent in controlling complex games on such a small device.
