PRAGMATA Combat Guide: Optimal Early Loadout Strategies for Maximum Synergy

PRAGMATA Combat Guide: Optimal Early Loadout Strategies for Maximum Synergy

In the early stages of Pragmata, players may find combat to be somewhat sluggish due to the substantial health pools of powerful bots. However, by strategically utilizing certain hacking nodes alongside Tactical Units, you can unleash high-damage combinations that quickly dispatch regular bots and inflict devastating damage on bosses.

The cornerstone of this high-damage strategy lies in the synergy between the hacking’s Offense Mode and the Stasis Net Tactical Unit.

Unlocking Key Components

The PRAGMATA interface displays a 'Unit Printer' menu highlighting hacking abilities, including 'Decode, ' 'Multihack, ' 'Freeze, ' and 'Confuse, ' with a detailed description of 'Offense Mode' and its effects.
Utilize Offense Mode to maximize your hacking capabilities.

To employ this powerful combination effectively, you must unlock the following essential components:

  • Stasis Net (Tactical Unit): Acquired during story progression in Sector 02: Mass Production Array. Once obtained, ensure you unlock it permanently via the Unit Printer located in the Shelter.
    • Function: Discharges a spherical electromagnetic net that incapacitates enemies in its area of effect for a brief period, dealing minor damage to all caught within.
  • Offense Mode (Hacking): Available through the Unit Printer upon completing Sector 02: Mass Production Array.
    • Function: Converts “Open”nodes in the hacking interface into offensive nodes. Interacting with these or inflicting damage with gunfire amplifies the power of your subsequent hack.
  • Expose Hacking Node: Achieved by obtaining a Bingo on the Associate Board within the Cabin’s Stamp Club.
    • Function: Targets security weaknesses, delivering critical damage during the next hack and making the target easier to stagger.

Maximizing Synergy: Stasis Net and Offense Mode

A character in PRAGMATA engages in combat, using a shield against an enemy, with an on-screen interface showing '51 damage' and a hacking grid.
The Stasis Net significantly enhances damage potential.

The Stasis Net complements Offense Mode exceptionally well. Though the net’s damage output may be modest, its consistent damage serves as a significant advantage for Offense Mode, effectively boosting the damage of your next hack. This allows the Stasis Net to continuously support your hacking while you maneuver through nodes, maximizing damage with your Primary or Attack Units.

Furthermore, this synergy can be amplified by upgrading your Hacking skills and using the Expose hacking node, which enhances the effectiveness of subsequent hacks.

Executing the Damage Combo

Two characters in PRAGMATA battle a robotic enemy in a forest environment, with dynamic damage indicators and a hacking interface showing a grid pattern on the screen.
Harness this combo for substantial damage through hacking.
  1. Initiate a hack on the designated enemy and navigate through the Expose Node to activate the vulnerability window and engage Offense Mode.
  2. Utilize the Stasis Net to immobilize the targeted enemy.
  3. While the Stasis Net stuns and damages your enemy, open fire using your Primary Unit or Attack Unit. The combined effect of the net and your gunfire will quickly boost the damage of the next hack.
  4. Launch your follow-up hack before the enemy can recover their defenses, resulting in massive critical damage.

This concludes our guide aimed at enhancing your early-game combat efficiency in Pragmata.
