Recent CAD renders suggest that Google’s forthcoming budget smartphone, the Pixel 10a, is set to embrace a conservative design approach. Rather than introducing bold stylistic changes, the tech giant seems to favor a more traditional and somewhat unremarkable aesthetic for its latest offering.

According to the detailed renders from X user OnLeaks, shared through Android Headlines, several key design elements have been noted:
- The Pixel 10a retains a thick-bezeled structure with a plastic back.
- A dual-camera configuration is incorporated within the signature camera bar on the back.
- The volume button is positioned beneath the power button.
- Antenna lines remain evident from side angles.
- Symmetrically located openings for the speaker and microphone can be found at the bottom.
In terms of specifications, the following details have emerged regarding the upcoming budget device:
- A 6.2-inch display.
- Dimensions measuring 153.9 x 72.9 x 9mm.
- A Tensor G4 SoC, building on the foundation laid by the Pixel 9a but operating at a higher clock speed.
- A robust battery capacity of 5, 100mAh or more.
- A projected price point of approximately $499.
- Expected release in spring 2026.
There is speculation that Google may seek to distinguish the Pixel 10a from its predecessor through new color options or by increasing the standard storage capacity beyond 128GB; however, the latter remains uncertain.
If the Pixel 10a launches with its current set of specifications, it could position the Pixel 9a as an attractive budget option, potentially driving demand for the older model.
On a positive note, Google is anticipated to continue offering its hallmark Pixel advantages, including up to seven years of software support, which remains a significant selling point for consumers.
