An executive from the publisher has teased this exciting possibility. Since its debut on the original PlayStation, Lara Croft’s adventures have established themselves as a cornerstone of gaming culture. The franchise has undergone multiple reboots and remasters, including the successful Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, setting the stage for the return of even more classic titles.
Following the positive reception of last year’s remaster of the first three games, Aspyr is eager to continue exploring the franchise’s rich history. Notably, this collection will also reintroduce previously omitted content, bringing back deleted dialogue from Angel of Darkness, much to the delight of longtime fans.
Possible Physical Edition of Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered
According to a report from NintendoLife, Aspyr is contemplating a physical edition for the Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered. Brand Manager Matthew Ray mentioned that “more details will be revealed soon”regarding this exciting prospect. He also emphasized Aspyr’s recognition of “the significance of physical media for nostalgic gamers, ”hinting at more surprises for the franchise in the near future. The remastered collection is slated for release on February 14.

If a physical edition is indeed on the horizon for Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, it is expected to follow the precedent set by the previous remaster. The physical release of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered included both Standard and Collector’s Editions, the latter packed with exciting collectibles such as trading cards, figures, and posters. Notably, the Collector’s Edition was even accompanied by replicas of Lara Croft’s signature pistols, elegantly displayed in a shadow box.
This forthcoming title emerges at a time when the Tomb Raider franchise is experiencing a remarkable resurgence. Alongside the remastered collection, Netflix has launched its animated series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, which received a nomination for “Best Adaptation”at the 2024 Game Awards. Additionally, Amazon is developing its live-action adaptation of the series, set to premiere on Prime Video. This renewed interest in Tomb Raider indicates that the franchise continues to capture the hearts of new and veteran gamers alike as Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered paves the way for fans to revisit some of Lara Croft’s most classic adventures.
