In Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, Skullrock Island serves as the central hub for Marona and her crew. Despite its modest size, this island is vital for your gaming strategy, boasting several facilities managed by your Phantoms that enhance your adventuring experience. Some facilities can be directly upgraded using the in-game resource known as BOR, while others improve indirectly based on the level of the Units overseeing them.
Initially, players have access to a limited number of Facilities. However, as you navigate through the early chapters of the game and expand your Phantom roster, more options will unlock. Facilities such as the Juice Bar provide experience sharing, while the Salvage Facility focuses on acquiring new weapons and items. These powerful upgrades play a significant role in supporting your Pirate Crew both on and off the battlefield.
Juice Bar

The Juice Bar emerges as one of the most beneficial early-game upgrades. At its base level, it allows you to divert a fraction of your earned experience points (EXP) from each map into a pool for redistribution, making it an excellent tool for leveling up newly introduced units. This facility becomes even more advantageous once you enhance its EXP cap beyond 100%.After this upgrade, you can forgo distributing EXP directly on maps in exchange for bonus EXP that can be utilized freely. For instance, with an enhancement to 110%, you gain 110% of your usual EXP, all of which goes into that discretionary pool.
While increasing the Juice Bar’s capabilities requires a growing amount of BOR, the investment quickly pays off as you progress, particularly when managing a larger roster of units.
Salvage

Once you’re granted access to multiple salvage locations, prioritize upgrades to the Salvage Facility. This enhancement enables quicker item acquisition through salvage actions. Notably, the Average Archipelago, which is your first available salvage site, has a minimum salvage duration of 30 minutes. Therefore, it is advisable to hold off further upgrades until additional salvage locations become accessible.
Shop

While you cannot directly enhance the shop, its offerings improve based on the assigned merchant’s level. Consequently, it is crucial to continually develop your Merchant character as you progress through the game, ensuring access to higher-tier items aligned with your advancement.
Marina (Ships)

Although the Marina cannot be upgraded, your ships can and should be enhanced. With the number of available ships increasing as the game progresses, each ship grants distinct buffs to your crew, which become more potent with upgrades. To elevate a ship’s capability, specific materials—such as trees or rocks—found throughout the maps are required. Notably, upgrading the Aprille ship can significantly bolster your EXP Gain, though sourcing the necessary materials might pose a challenge.
