Top Units in Chapter 1

Fighter & Striker: Essential Melee Units
The Fighter and Striker shine as melee combat specialists early in the game. The Fighter wields swords, featuring a good balance between offense and defense while being susceptible to magical attacks. Their unique ability enhances their strength when surrounded by enemies. In contrast, the Striker prefers spears, excelling in mobility and benefiting from a skill that boosts their attack power after moving, although they share a similar vulnerability to magic.
Having at least one of these units in your lineup is recommended, as they are capable of tackling most early-game foes with strategic planning and some assistance from Marona and Apricot. Additionally, recruiting either unit enables access to the “Learn Skills”facility, thereby allowing your team to acquire new skills as they level up, which is crucial for enhancing your squad’s effectiveness.

The Healer is essential for sustaining your team, enhancing their endurance, and keeping Marona safe in dangerous scenarios. While they provide invaluable support, it’s crucial to shield the Healer since they possess low defense.
By recruiting a Healer, you also gain access to the “Heal”facility, which enables the restoration of fallen units outside of battles. This feature significantly increases your chances of success, especially against tougher opponents, making it imperative to get this facility operational early in your journey.
Sailor: Durable and Effective
While the Sailor may appear to have mediocre attributes, they feature the highest REMOVE stat in the game, which allows them to remain active during battles longer than others. Training Sailors can have long-term benefits, as they retain their REMOVE stat boosts upon reincarnation, ultimately producing stronger units that can last longer in future battles.

Both the Witch and Wizard are potent magic users worth having on your team. The Witch excels in casting long-range spells, while the Wizard focuses on area-of-effect (AOE) attacks. It’s essential to use caution with these characters, as friendly fire is a gameplay consideration. Their strengths at exploiting enemy elemental weaknesses and bypassing physical defenses make them critical, especially as you face foes with high defense.
Although they rank lower at this stage due to their lack of facility unlocks, they will become increasingly important as you progress and encounter enemies that require their unique skill sets.
Top Units Unlocked in Chapter 2

Angler: The Salvage Expert

Even though their primary weapon, the Chef’s Knife, may be hard to obtain early in the game, recruiting a Chef is important to access the Juice Bar. This facility allows the redistribution of experience from missions to any selected unit. Eventually, the facility can be upgraded to yield more EXP than standard encounters.

While their INT and RES stats may be lower compared to the Witch and Wizard, the Ghost compensates with superior SPD, REMOVE, and movement abilities.
