PFL’s Dakota Ditcheva opens up on viral weigh-in clip of her in Calvin Klein attire – “There are some crazy and strange fans”  

Dakota Ditcheva, a prominent PFL star, has gained widespread attention for her impressive performance in the octagon. However, it was a weigh-in video that caught everyone’s attention and catapulted her to viral fame. The footage, which showed Ditcheva sporting Calvin Klein attire, quickly went viral on Instagram, amassing over 20 million views and attracting a significant number of new followers to her account.

Despite holding a perfect 10-0 record and being known for her impressive finishing abilities, Ditcheva’s rise to stardom in MMA was solidified in 2023. She solidified this by defeating Valentina Scatizzi and winning the PFL Europe championship title. Although she was not seeking social media fame, a pre-fight weigh-in video unexpectedly gained attention.

During a recent interview with Mirror Fighting, the English fighter discussed the sudden fame that has come their way.

“It’s just crazy, there was obviously a few reasons why it went viral. When I took the video I was like ‘I don’t know if I should post this’ and my brother said the same, but I thought ‘Sack it, I’m going to post it’ and then it went viral. What do you expect, there are some crazy and strange fans in this sport bu you’ve got to just go with it. It is what it is and it’s not something you can change.”

PFL Flyweight Finalists: Dakota Ditcheva Targets Liz Carmouche or Taila Santos for Championship Fight

Dakota Ditcheva, the 2024 PFL season’s newest addition, is determined to dominate the flyweight division. ‘Dangerous,’ who claimed the PFL Europe title in the previous year, joins a highly competitive women’s flyweight division that boasts renowned names such as Bellator champion Liz Carmouche and former UFC title contender Taila Santos.

The 25-year-old Ditcheva will begin her season on April 4th at PFL 1 where she will face Lisa Mauldin. Although she is currently focused on this upcoming fight, the English fighter is also excited for the opportunity to potentially face tough opponents like Carmouche or Santos later in the season.

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, she stated:

“I think It will only be right that we fight each other at the end, I’m excited to maybe get matched up with them, but at the same time, I’m not thinking about it too much because they still have to get through their rounds, as well. We’ll see what happens.”
