First look at the Oppo Watch 3 series from leaked renders

Oppo’s latest smartwatch, the Oppo Watch 2, has been a hit with Android smartwatch lovers. The watch clearly copied the Apple Watch series in many attributes, including a curved screen and a rectangular dial. The upcoming Oppo Watch 3 series also seems to continue the design theme of the previous series.

The Oppo Watch 3 hasn’t been announced yet, but thanks to renowned insider Evan Blass, we get our first look at the upcoming smartwatch. It can be seen from the images that Oppo does not make many changes compared to the previous series, although this time the watch appears to be slightly curved vertically, as if shaping the shape of the wrist. There is also a new crown on the side, while previous models only had buttons for navigation.

According to XDA-recognized developer mlgmxyysd, Oppo’s new watch series will include 3 models this time around. These models are codenamed Auster, Altron and Altron SE. This could mean a premium version as well as two slightly inferior versions in different sizes when released. In terms of color options, each watch model will receive two options – black and silver. Some models may receive more color options after the official release of the watch.

Previous leaks also suggest that the new Oppo Watch 3 series will get a new Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC specifically designed for wearables. In terms of software, the new series will likely use Google’s WearOS outside of China, just like the previous series.
