Persona 5: The Phantom X Reroll Tips and Strategies

Persona 5: The Phantom X Reroll Tips and Strategies

As my uncle often remarked, with exceptional game sales come an array of spinoffs. This adage rings particularly true for Persona 5, the most successful entry in the Persona franchise. Capitalizing on its monumental success, Atlus has been creatively exploring various outlets within the JRPG genre.

The latest addition to this universe is Persona5: The Phantom X, a complimentary mobile game that operates within the Persona 5 setting while incorporating every facet typical of other free mobile experiences.

Players can anticipate gacha mechanics, numerous collaboration events with other titles, and an influx of players who may find themselves disillusioned after investing significant resources yet failing to obtain that elusive character they desire. To aid in navigating this challenge, I have prepared a comprehensive reroll guide for Persona5: The Phantom X.

For those unfamiliar, “rerolling”involves utilizing your starting resources to engage in draws from the initial banners, and if luck doesn’t favor you, you can create another account to try your luck again.

Your first step should be to refrain from linking your account through any other login options. If you’ve inadvertently linked it, don’t worry—unlinking is a straightforward process, albeit somewhat tedious.

It’s recommended to play as a guest until you’re ready to scout the banners, dubbed “Contracts”in Persona5: The Phantom X. If your draws turn out favorable, linking your guest account is perfectly fine. However, if your attempts yield only 4-star Idols despite spending all your Golden Tickets, it’s time to return to the login screen to establish a new account. This can be easily accomplished on both mobile devices and Steam.

To create a new account, follow these steps:

  • Click on “User”at the top right of the screen.
  • Your account name will appear if logged in. If not, it will indicate “Guest”along with your UID.
  • Select “Switch account”to return to the home screen.
  • Then, click “User”again, choose “Other Login Method, ”and select “Login as Guest.”

Congratulations! You’ve created a new account, allowing you to reroll until you achieve the characters you yearn for. However, keep in mind that developers have instituted a maximum account limit due to the surge of new players—each player is restricted to creating a total of 100 accounts per device.

Let’s be realistic—you’re unlikely to reroll banners 100 times, right? Few possess the determination or sheer misfortune to pursue a character like Panther that relentlessly. Just a heads-up!

When you restart the game for rerolling, you’ll bypass cutscenes until you enter free roam at the school, continue exploring, skip even more scene transitions, and eventually arrive in Mementos for a battle tutorial.

On average, you should expect to invest around 10 minutes before you can take control of the protagonist in Shibuya and unlock the gacha system.

At the top of the screen, select “Contracts, ”ignore the warning, and technically kick off your reroll. In many gacha games, players typically reroll banners because they want to maximize their initial resources. This is also valid for Persona5: The Phantom X.

What makes rerolling particularly enticing in this title is the introduction of “Newcomer Contracts, ”which is accessible as soon as you unlock Contracts. These use Gold Tickets, but here’s the catch: you only need to spend 8 Gold Tickets to draw 10 times, rather than the typical 10 required.

This unique setup allows you to perform 50 draws for the expenditure of just 40 Gold Tickets—or their equivalents in Cognition Crystals or Meta Jewels. Nothing beats the chance to conserve your precious premium currency!

And here’s a real kicker—you’re guaranteed to acquire one 5-star Contract after drawing 40 times in the Newcomer Contracts. Choices include Morgana, Ann Takamaki, or Ryuji Sakamoto. But let’s be honest: most players will be vying for Panther, who’s absolutely a standout character in terms of influence!

Additionally, if fortune smiles upon you and you secure Panther before completing your 50 draws, you stand a chance to pull another Phantom Thief. The goal of rerolling is to amplify your odds, and the Newcomer Contract is your optimal route when setting up multiple accounts.

However, keep in mind that, as I mentioned, you can technically begin rerolling, but there’s a slight hiccup: at this stage, you might not have collected enough resources to execute 40 draws.

Even if you didn’t sign up in advance, every player is eligible to receive 20 Golden Tickets upon logging in. This effectively gives you half the needed amount to begin your draws.Use these to draw twice and if you don’t get a 5-star character, simply reset the account.

For those eager to push further, additional resources include 3 more Golden Tickets awarded through the Thieves’ Alliance event. Upon reaching level 10, you’ll accrue another 10 tickets, giving you a total of 33 tickets for drawing purposes. During my own attempts, however, luck evaded me—despite multiple rerolls, I netted only guaranteed 4-stars before accumulating enough tickets to capture Ryuji.

If you find yourself fortunate during rerolling—perhaps obtaining Yaoling Ling or, heaven forbid, your desired Panther—don’t fret about Ryuji just yet. Persona5: The Phantom X has a system in place for that.

Engaging with 7-day missions will reward you with an additional 5-star Phantom Thief from the previously mentioned trio. Thus, by remaining dedicated, you have the capability to draw for Panther along the way and subsequently gain another through mission completion within your first week.
