Actress and singer Amanda Seyfried recently participated in an interview with ABC News, where she discussed the beloved musical film Mamma Mia. During the conversation, Seyfried also addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding Sabrina Carpenter potentially taking on the role of her daughter in a future installment of the film series.
Journalist Will Gans raised a noteworthy point, highlighting how Cher and Meryl Streep, who have only a three-year age difference, successfully portrayed mother and daughter in the sequel Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. To this, Amanda Seyfried replied:
“You’re right, actually, it doesn’t matter. You know what? Old age makeup for me. That’s what it will be. Especially if it means that Carpenter will join them on their next family adventure. I don’t mind. I’m an actor. I’ll do it. If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I’ll make it happen. It’s fine. She’s… I’m a big fan.”
Following Amanda’s enthusiastic remarks, fans took to social media, buzzing with excitement even though Mamma Mia 3 has not been officially announced. An X user, @PopCrave, shared Amanda Seyfried’s comments, prompting one internet user to respond:
