Switch between multiple Office accounts in Office Mobile for Android

In an official blog post , Microsoft announced that it is in the process of rolling out the ability to switch between multiple Office accounts on Office Mobile for Android. As the name suggests, this will mean that users will be able to switch between multiple work or personal accounts in the Office Mobile app, helping users keep their desks organized.

Switching between multiple Office accounts is already possible in Office 365 Web Apps, and now Microsoft is looking to bring the same functionality to other Office apps across platforms. Once this feature is available, selecting a specific account will now show all of your latest content and content shared with you on your home screen, you can view content from that account using the Browse option, and create and save files in the cloud. storage associated with the selected account. All this will be possible in the Office Mobile apps on Android.

Users will be able to switch between accounts from the Me screen. In addition, they will also be able to connect another account by clicking the “Connect Account” button, although it’s not clear how many accounts can be added.

It’s worth noting that account switching will be implemented for Office Insiders running Android version 16.0.15225.20232 or later.

Microsoft is slowly rolling out this feature to more Office Insiders, which means it’s not meant to be available to everyone from day one. Notably, the software giant could eliminate the ability to switch accounts from the Office Mobile app entirely, though insiders have tried to do so.
