Paul Heyman ditching Roman Reigns to side with former WWE Champion after WrestleMania XL sounds good, says veteran

Since The Tribal Chief’s heel turn, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have proven to be an unstoppable force.

Dutch Mantell, a former WWE manager, has recently speculated about the possibility of the two men separating after WrestleMania XL. The experienced veteran even suggested that The Wiseman may turn on Reigns and join forces with The Rock.

On April 6 and 7, Roman Reigns will be competing alongside The Rock as they face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The next evening, The Head of the Table will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The American Nightmare in a highly anticipated rematch after almost a year. The WWE Universe eagerly awaits to see if Night Two’s main event will be a “Bloodline Rules”match and how the ongoing saga of The Bloodline will continue.

During their appearance on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the wrestling veteran and his co-host James Romero addressed the potential scenario of Paul Heyman parting ways with Roman Reigns and joining forces with The Rock, setting the stage for an epic showdown at WrestleMania 41.

In addition, Mantell conveyed his hope for The People’s Champ to eventually become a fan favorite in the future.

“Well, that does sound good (On Paul Heyman ditching Roman Reigns to side with The Rock). I think at this point. I think they might be needing after a year or two to turn The Rock back into a baby face. People love him anyway. I don’t care because he says the things, they want to say, but can’t say, but he can do it anyway. Like I said, they’ve opened so many doors. Now it’s according to what hall they need to go down,”Mantell said. [From 25:17 to 25:46]

Roman Reigns’ ultimatum to WWE: shape up or ship out

The Tribal Chief has been the backbone of WWE during the pandemic era. Most recently, A & E released a documentary detailing The Tribal Chief’s rise to becoming the company’s top star.

Despite this, Reigns emphasized in the documentary that his goal was to leave WrestleMania 40 as the Undisputed Universal Champion and he stated that he would leave the company if he didn’t achieve this.

“If I’m not the top guy, then I don’t wanna be here.”

The go-home episode of RAW this week saw The Rock and Reigns standing tall over Rollins and Rhodes. Will The American Nightmare seek vengeance and put an end to The Head of the Table once and for all? Only time will reveal the answer.
