Patrick Beverley gives reality check to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s wish
The podcast named after Patrick Beverley gives fans a glimpse into the world of one of the NBA’s most notorious instigators and enforcers. During the podcast, Beverley shared details of a conversation he had with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a rising star on the OKC Thunder team.
In the latest episode of the Pat Bev Podcast featuring Adam Ferrone, the pair delved into the matchup between the OKC Thunder and Milwaukee Bucks, which occurred on March 24th.
According to Pat Bev, he and SGA had a conversation before the game and afterwards, the OKC guard mentioned that he was excited to face him and the Bucks once more in June, alluding to the NBA Finals.
Patrick Beverley had a sobering reply for SGA, and this is his statement.
“No y’all ain’t gonna make it,”Beverley responded to SGA’s hopeful statement. “But I like that though.”
Pat Bev was asked by Adam Ferrone why he believed the Thunder were unable to make it to the Finals.
“Yeah, too young,”Pat Bev responded. “But you know, I’ve seen crazier things happen in OKC. And it’s tough to beat Denver [Nuggets] man. No discredit to any team, it’s just tough to beat Denver.”
Currently, the Denver Nuggets and the OKC Thunder have a very close standing in the league. The Thunder have a record of 51-22, just slightly better than the Nuggets’ record of 51-23.
Beverley sacrifices for Bucks’ championship pursuit despite injury
The Milwaukee Bucks were dealt a blow when they learned that experienced point guard Patrick Beverley may be out for the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury.
Despite the initial negative news, it quickly became a positive when Pat Bev announced on his podcast’s official Twitter page that he will continue to play through his ailment.
The Bucks, with the leadership of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, have the opportunity to secure another championship.
Despite playing through pain, Patrick Beverley’s defensive abilities and high level of energy are highly beneficial for any team striving for a championship. Therefore, his decision to continue playing despite the discomfort is a significant advantage.
