In Act 2 of Path of Exile 2, players will encounter two enigmatic Relics as they progress. These Relics come with no guidance and are non-removable from your inventory, adding a layer of mystery to your journey.
How to Obtain the Relics in Act 2
These Relics are part of the Ancient Vows side quest and become available once you discover either of the two items. They are randomized drops from foes found exclusively in two locations: Keth and the Bone Pits.
Access Keth through the Map, while the Bone Pits can be navigated during your exploration of the Mastodon Badlands. Expect to find the Kabala Clan Relic in Keth and the Sun Clan Relic in the Bone Pits. Given the chaotic battles typical in PoE2, pinpointing which enemies drop these Relics can be challenging, but rest assured they will appear as you engage in combat at these locations.
To collect the Relics, simply visit Keth and the Bone Pits, defeating enemies along the way. Keep your eyes peeled for them on the ground to eliminate the need for repeated searches.
Since these drops are random, the time spent acquiring both Relics can vary significantly. Some players may find them within mere minutes, while others might take longer—potentially up to an hour or more. After clearing the areas, if you haven’t gathered both, it’s worth retracing your steps in a sweep.
Utilizing the Relics in Act 2
Once you have acquired both Relics, your next objective is to travel to the Valley of the Titans. This area is reachable via the Desert Map on the Ardura Caravan, provided you have defeated Azarian, the Forsaken Son in Keth.
Should you have completed your assignments in Keth while hunting for the Kabala Clan Relic, you’re set to proceed directly to the Valley of the Titans.
While there’s much to uncover in the Valley of the Titans, your focus should be toward the Waypoint area, where you will discover a considerable Titan statue atop a small flight of stairs. Interact with the Medallion, access your inventory, and place both Relics in the designated slots to finalize the Ancient Vows quest and claim your reward.
Rewards for Completing the Ancient Vows Quest
Upon completing the Ancient Vows quest, players can choose from distinct rewards associated with each Relic. Note that you can only select one reward at a time, which will then enhance your character.
You can revisit your decision later to switch the rewards linked to your chosen Relic.
The options available are:
- Kabala Clan Relic: Grants a 30% increase in Charm Charges gained.
- Sun Clan Relic: Provides a 15% enhancement for Mana Recovery from Flasks.
Once you select a Relic, the corresponding benefit is immediately applied to your character. Additionally, you will enjoy four extra inventory slots, making it easier to progress toward defeating Jamanra at the end of Act 2 without the burden of extra items.
