Path of Exile 2 Guide: Acquiring Morior Invictus Grand Regalia

The Morior Invictus Grand Regalia represents a unique armor piece in Path of Exile 2, distinctly recognized for its potential to significantly enhance a player’s build. When rolled correctly, this unique item is among the most desirable pieces of gear available, offering unparalleled advantages when paired with the right setup.

However, acquiring the Morior Invictus is no easy task. It requires triumphing over one of the game’s most formidable bosses at the endgame stage, a challenge that can only be tackled by elite builds with a strong strategy. Below, we outline the process of obtaining this coveted armor.

How to Acquire the Morior Invictus Grand Regalia in PoE 2

Path of Exile 2 Arbiter of Ash fire beam

This unique armor drops exclusively from the Arbiter of Ash, the final boss in the endgame section of Path of Exile 2. It is worth noting that the Morior Invictus is the most prized drop from this boss, with other uniques having relatively lower value.

Players can challenge the Arbiter of Ash within the Burning Monolith area after they collect three Crisis Fragments, which are obtained from defeating bosses located in various Citadels across the Atlas. The required Citadels and their respective bosses include:

  • Iron Citadel: Count Geonor (Boss from Act 1)
  • Copper Citadel: Jamanra, The Abomination (Boss from Act 2)
  • Stone Citadel: Doryani (Boss from Act 3)

Citadels, similar to Towers, are visible from above the fog of war that shrouds unexplored areas of the Atlas, provided they are situated within two to three screens from the player’s explored territory. Their locations are marked by distinctive glowing pillars of light that pierce the clouds.

It’s important to note that the Morior Invictus cannot be acquired through the use of an Orb of Chance, as it is not part of the regular item drop pool, emphasizing its rarity and importance.

Understanding the Functionality of Morior Invictus Grand Regalia in PoE 2

Morior Invictus Grand Regalia with 5 rune slots in Path of Exile 2

The Morior Invictus Grand Regalia is incredibly sought after due to its unique ability to amplify player power in direct relation to the quantity of socketed runes or Soul Cores in the armor piece.

In contrast to standard Body Armors that typically offer two sockets, the Morior Invictus starts with a minimum of four empty sockets. Furthermore, each piece features two unique modifiers selected from a pool of seven exclusive options, which can only be found on the Morior Invictus. These modifiers provide inherent percentage boosts to specific player stats, based on the number of socketed items.

The seven potential unique modifiers found on a Morior Invictus include:

  1. +10% to all Elemental Resistances per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  2. 10% increased Global Defences per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  3. 10% increased Item Rarity per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  4. 5% increased Maximum Life per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  5. 5% increased Maximum Mana per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  6. 5% increased Attributes per Socketed Rune or Soul Core
  7. +10 to Spirit per Socketed Rune or Soul Core

The optimal Morior Invictus piece should ideally be corrupted with a Vaal Orb to achieve five rune slots instead of four, along with two advantageous modifiers. Although none of the possible modifiers are inherently useless, their effectiveness is heavily influenced by how they synergize with a player’s specific build. One of the most desirable modifiers is the ‘+10% to all Elemental Resistances’, which can yield a remarkable passive boost of +40% to all Elemental Resistances (or +50% with five slots), proving to be immensely beneficial during gameplay.
