Navigating the collection of items via a console controller can sometimes become cumbersome. Fortunately, both PlayStation and Xbox users can implement these useful item filters just like PC gamers. Although the setup process may be slightly intricate, this guide will walk you through each step needed to activate these filters on your console.

To utilize loot filters on console versions of Path of Exile 2, it is essential to link your console accounts with your Path of Exile account. This procedure is performed on the official Path of Exile website. Follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Log in to your Path of Exile account on the website.
  2. Click on your account name located in the upper left corner of the page.
  3. Select “Manage Account”from the menu on the right side.
  4. Under “Secondary Login,”click the Connect button for either Sony (PS) or Microsoft (Xbox).

Upon selecting the Connect option for your desired console, you will be asked to log into your corresponding PlayStation or Xbox account. Follow the prompts to successfully link your accounts.

Once your console accounts are linked, navigate back to your profile page on the website. Here, click on the Item Filters button on the right side and select the Item Filter Ladder hyperlink. A new browser tab will open, displaying a selection of highly-rated loot filters for Path of Exile 2.

Make sure to select PoE 2 from the drop-down menu at the top of the filters list. Browse through the filters available, choose the one that suits you, and then click on the Follow button on the respective filter’s page. For new players, we recommend opting for NeverSink’s semi-strict or standard filters for a better overall experience.

Having followed a filter on the official site, open Path of Exile 2 and access the Options menu. Go to the Game tab, where you will find the Item Filter option at the very top. Select the filter you chose on the website from the drop-down menu, then click Save. From this point forward, items that drop in the game will display various labels, colors, or even unique sound effects depending on the enabled filter.
