Arcade Updates in the Overwatch 2 Patch Notes
We’re thrilled to see so many players enjoying the various mutations within Junkenstein’s Laboratory over the past few weeks. As we approach the final week of this limited-time event, we will implement some tweaks to the mutations available to each hero before they enter each round. Players can continue to engage with Junkenstein’s Laboratory in the Arcade until November 4.
Ashe
- Trail by Fire: Damage to burning enemies now grants an extra 30% ultimate charge, up from 25%.
- Fire and Fury: The Viper’s shots against burning foes now reduce the cooldowns for Coach Gun and Dynamite by 7%, an increase from 5%.
- Demon’s Ward: The shield health from the deployed Barrier Projector has been raised to 600, previously set at 300.
D.Va
- Anti-Boost: Fixed a bug that caused Booster impact to deal excessive damage alongside the anti-healing effect.
- No Escape: The weapon damage increase has been decreased to 75%, down from 100%.
Genji
- Scary Speed: Critical hits with Shuriken now boost attack speed by 3%, stacking up to 10 times for 10 seconds, a modification from the previous increase of 2% and 15 stacks.
- Vampiric Deflect: Deflect now restores 15% of Genji’s max health per second, upgraded from 10%.
- Bitter Revenge: The next Swift Strike will inflict up to 75% more damage based on the damage blocked by Deflect, a rise from 50%.
- Master Ward: The cooldown has now been increased by 3 seconds, changing from a 5-second increase.

- Not Your Time: Provides 30% more healing to allies below 50% health, improved from 25%.
- Drawn Together: After teleporting, Kiriko grants the nearest ally 75 Overhealth for 5 seconds, up from 50 Overhealth.
- Unburdened: After utilizing Protection Suzu, attack speed is now boosted by 20% for 10 seconds, while it was previously for only 5 seconds.
- Vindictive Vision: Inflicting damage on enemies beyond 12 meters now reveals them for 5 seconds, a rise from the previous 3 seconds.
- Spirit World’s Gift: Protection Suzu will now heal Kiriko for an additional 100 health and enhances movement speed by 25% for 5 seconds, changing from 80 health for 3 seconds.
Mercy
- Mend and Mar: Mercy now heals all allies within a 20-meter radius for 150% of the damage dealt while not in Valkyrie, an increase from 100%. Healing for damage dealt during Valkyrie remains at 200%.
- Power for a Price: Caduceus Staff’s damage boost now heals related targets for 10% of their inflicted damage, previously it was 7.5%.
- Sustained Servant: The cooldown has been reduced to 7 seconds from the original 10 seconds.
- Witches Never Die: The health of the shield from the deployed Barrier Projector is now raised to 600 from 300.
- Fall from Grace: During Angelic Descent, Movement Speed is now improved by 20%, previously noted at 15%.
Moira
- Frightening Fascination: Secondary Fire now locks onto targets at a narrower 40% angle, down from 50%.
- Siphon Strike: Quick Melee now restores 15% of Max Biotic Energy, improved from 10%.
- Equilibrium: Now reduces movement speed by 20%, a decrease from the previous 30%.
Idol
- Flight by Night: While utilizing Javelin Spin, Orisa gains free flight and enjoys a 15% increase in movement speed.
- Megamonster: Achieves 200% Overhealth while slowed by 20%, an enhancement from 35%.
- Waning Whirlwind: Javelin Spin now instantly drains 90% of Max Augmented Fusion Driver’s Overheat meter, previously at 50%.
- Chilling Blow: Energy Javelin now immediately depletes 90% of the Augmented Fusion Driver’s Overheat meter instead of 50%.
- Arcane Energy: Energy Javelin now has a 20% shorter cooldown, previously reduced by 15%.
- Violence Begotten: Critical hits now enhance attack speed by 8% for 5 seconds, adjusted from 6%.
Pharaoh
- Scare-ial Superiority: Following the use of Jump Jets and Jet Dash, Pharah now inflicts 20% additional damage for only 3 seconds, down from 5 seconds.
Reaper
- Swift Shadow: The cast time for Shadow Step has been lessened by 30%, which was initially at 35%.
Zenyatta
- Hallowed Speed: Harmony orb now grants targets a 20% increase in movement speed, reduced from 25%.
- Master and Disciple: Zenyatta now receives a 40% effective Harmony Orb boost on himself, a decrease from 50%. Ally Harmony Orb effectiveness remains at 20% as per the Overwatch 2 patch notes.
Competitive Updates from Overwatch 2 Patch Notes
In Season 13, for Open Queue Competitive, we will now match players in broad groups, narrow groups, and solo players within the same matchmaking pool. This change aims to alleviate long waiting times for groups of any size looking for a match. We will be eliminating the Wide Group modifier and notification UI in Open Queue Competitive in a forthcoming update.
Hero Balance Adjustments in Overwatch 2 Patch Notes
Tank
Idol
- Base health increased from 125 to 175.
- Base armor reduced from 350 to 300 as stated in the Overwatch 2 patch notes.
- Energy Javelin: Damage decreased from 80 to 70.
- Fortify: No longer reduces heat generation for Fusion Driver.
Ramattra
- Pummel: Now pierces barriers once more.
- No longer delivers critical damage to barriers.
Wrecking Ball
- Quad Cannons: Ammo count increased from 80 to 100.
- Grappling Claw: Duration extended from 6 to 8 seconds.
Shadow
- Hack: Now exits stealth when hacking an enemy target, according to Overwatch 2 patch notes.
- Translocator: Delay entering stealth has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.33 seconds.
- Fade in time has been cut down from 0.3 to 0.15 seconds.
- EMP: The ultimate cost lowered by 10%.
Juno
- Orbital Ray: Healing has been adjusted from 100 to 85 health per second.

- Reinhardt: In a previous update, fixed an issue where the All Might Reinhardt skin did not play ultimate sounds.
