Overclocker Sets New World Record by Overclocking Core i9 14900KF to 9.13 GHz

In a remarkable feat of engineering and skill, Chinese overclocker Wytiwx has shattered the world record for the highest frequency achieved on the Intel Core i9-14900KF processor. Utilizing advanced Liquid Helium cooling techniques and the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard, Wytiwx has reached an unprecedented clock speed of 9130.33 MHz.

Wytiwx Sets New Benchmark at 9130.33 MHz on All 8 Performance Cores

The Intel Raptor Lake Refresh series continues to demonstrate exceptional performance, not just in gaming and productivity applications but also in the realm of overclocking. Among Intel’s 14th generation processors, the Core i9-14900K, 14900KF, and 14900KS variants are widely favored for their impressive overclocking potential, now shown to exceed the 9 GHz threshold.

Wytywx’s latest achievement marks his second record-setting attempt this year. In January, he successfully surpassed Elmor’s previous record of 9117.75 MHz with an impressive 9121.61 MHz. Now, he has gone further, boasting a groundbreaking 9130.33 MHz across all performance cores of the i9-14900KF. This reinforces the trend that top-tier CPU frequency records are increasingly being claimed by the Raptor Lake and Refresh series of Intel processors.

CPU-Z validation confirms the astonishing frequency of 9130.33 MHz.

Wytywx utilized Liquid Helium instead of the more traditional Liquid Nitrogen, contributing to his record-breaking frequency. The CPU-Z software has confirmed this remarkable clock speed at a voltage of 1.388V. His results have been documented on HWBot and validated by CPU-Z. In another noteworthy detail, this overclocking endeavor relied on the high-quality components, including the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard and Corsair Vengeance memory. In a show of gratitude, Wytiwx expressed his appreciation to hardware manufacturers for their support and shared images of his impressive setup.

Crazy again! Thanks Corsair, ROG, Thermal Grizzly, ElmorLabs and my dear teammates MickaShuBL, Crystalright, Markjinli.

Currently, Intel’s Raptor Lake and Refresh series remains one of the most sought-after families of CPUs, excelling in both gaming and productivity sectors. While the Core Ultra 200S may offer better performance in multi-threaded tasks, sales data indicate that consumers consistently favor Intel’s 13th and 14th generation chips over the newer Arrow Lake options. Additionally, many CPUs in the budget and mid-range categories are now available at significantly reduced prices compared to their MSRP, with Intel’s Gamer Days promotions bundling offers such as Battlefield 6 with various processors.
