What’s New in Outer Banks Season 4?

In addition to the trailer and first-look images, Netflix has shared an extended synopsis for the new season:

“Following last season’s 18-month flash-forward featuring Wes Genrette’s proposal to the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure, Season 4 takes us back in time to the lead-up to that moment. After discovering gold in El Dorado, the Pogues return to the Outer Banks and aim for a ‘normal’ life. They establish a new safe haven called ‘Poguelandia 2.0’ where they coexist and operate a successful bait, tackle, and charter tour business.”

The synopsis continues:

“However, financial troubles compel John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo to accept Wes’s offer, pulling them into the treasure-hunting game once again. They soon find themselves in precarious situations, racing against dangerous new adversaries to uncover the treasure. Amid their escalating problems, they must reflect on their past, present, and future—contemplating their identities, the worth of their past choices, and what they’re willing to sacrifice.”

The upcoming season features series favorites: Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Austin North as Topper, and Drew Starkey as Rafe. Fiona Palomo will also return as Sofia, a series regular.
