Connagh Howard and Beth Dunlavey shared the exciting news that they are expecting their first child together through an emotional video posted on Instagram on March 3, 2024.

Together in a joint Instagram post, Connagh and Beth shared their experiences of enduring “every injection, pain and procedure”during their journey. Dunlavey expressed that despite the challenges, it was all ultimately worth it and she would not hesitate to do it “a 100 times over.”The post read:

“Every injection, every tear, every procedure, every pain; every last inch of this journey has been worth it for you, and I’d do it 100 times over if I had to, we already love you so much. Our baby decided the time was right and we are over the moon to finally announce we are PREGNANT!”

On March 3, Howard and Dunlavey each posted on Instagram to announce the news of their first child together. Dunlavey’s post included a video documenting her IVF journey, culminating in a positive pregnancy test.

The pregnancy announcement video features a black-and-white filter and is accompanied by the song Golden Hour by Daniela Mlčúchová. It opens with Connagh Howard presenting the positive pregnancy test to Beth, and the couple joyfully celebrates together.

The footage also offers insight into the couple’s challenges with fertility. Dunlavey has previously shared several of these videos, which feature her administering injections in her stomach as part of her IVF process.

Beth has openly shared her IVF journey and fertility struggles with her followers on Instagram. She had previously revealed that after a year of dating, she and Howard stopped using contraception in hopes of getting pregnant.

In October 2023, she disclosed on Instagram that she believed her endometriosis was hindering her ability to conceive. Despite Dunlavey’s endometriosis surgery in 2022, the couple still struggled to become pregnant.

Connagh Howard disclosed that for the past two years, they have been attempting to conceive. After undergoing a semen analysis test, the results came back as borderline.

In February 2023, Howard shared on Instagram that he had retaken the semen analysis test and the results showed improvement. Dunlavey also disclosed that she had undergone eight sessions of acupuncture in an attempt to conceive, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. As a result, the couple received the recommendation to pursue IVF.

Dunlavey posted videos documenting the start of the couple’s IVF process and their reaction to receiving their IVF date. She admitted to feeling scared and anxious due to her dislike of injections and uncertainty about how her hormones would react. In her Instagram caption, she wrote:

“I think as humans we thrive off progress and moving forward, and for us we feel like we’ve been stuck in the same position and cycle, of getting our hopes up only to be disappointed every month for over 2 years, so getting a start date and starting our injections was a huge, HUGE milestone moment for us.”

The couple documented their IVF journey by sharing numerous photos and filming their experiences for their YouTube channel. According to Dunlavey, the most challenging aspect of the IVF process was the injections. In October 2023, Beth announced on Instagram that the couple had received a negative result on their pregnancy test. They began their next cycle in December 2023.

In early 2020, Connagh Howard and Beth Dunlavey began a romantic relationship, just as the Covid-19 pandemic was about to hit. During this time, Dunlavey was working on the Channel 4 show The Circle, while Howard was a contestant on Love Island.

Despite playing the role of Joyce, a 62-year-old catfish woman, on The Circle, Beth was ultimately eliminated from the show. Shortly after her departure, Howard made a brief appearance on ITV 2 before starting a relationship with Dunlavey.

In November 2023, Howard asked Dunlavey to marry him. The couple posted photos from the proposal in Central Park, New York on Instagram.
