Steam Fall Sale kicks off with 2021 Steam Awards nominations

As every year, Valve has opened the doors for the Fall Steam Sale , and is also joined by another Steam Awards event. Thousands of games, their DLCs and more are now discounted in the store, offering PC players a new chance to lighten their wallets.

Front page highlights from Day One include discounts on Back 4 Blood, Cyberpunk 2077, Valheim, Monster Hunter World, Humankind, Hades, and many more franchises. Sales will remain constant throughout the event. However, prices can fluctuate in the first few hours due to server issues, continuing the tradition.

In terms of Steam Awards, nominations are now available across a wide range of categories, including Game of the Year, VR Game of the Year, Outstanding Visual Style, Most Innovative Gameplay and more. Several more unorthodox awards are available this year, such as Best Game You Suck. All Steam users are encouraged to vote, and Valve offers unique Steam profile badges for those who participate.

Based on past fall sales, most of the discounts in this promotion will be the same as next month’s Steam Winter Sale 2021, the last sale of the year in the store. While other games are likely to be discounted if a good price is available for a particular edition during this promotion, there is nothing wrong with buying it now.

The 2021 Steam Fall Sale runs until December 1st. Those looking to find out which games have been selected from the Steam Awards will have to wait until the Winter Sale. That’s when the final community vote will begin to determine the winners.
