OPPO confirmed earlier this week that the company will launch the next generation Find X series smartphones in the first quarter of 2022. Based on the naming scheme that OPPO has supported over the past three years for its flagship Find X line, we can very well expect the upcoming flagship series to launch under the name Find X4.
As usual, the company is expected to launch at least two models as part of the upcoming Find X4 series, including the top-end OPPO Find X4 Pro as well as the vanilla Find X4. While it is fairly confirmed that the Pro model will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, there is no word on the base chip for the Find X4.
However, according to the latest information from a fairly reputable Chinese expert, the OPPO Find X4 is expected to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It makes sense as OPPO Find X3 also uses the simplified Snapdragon 870 platform instead of the Snapdragon 888 chip found in the Find X3 Pro.
Sadly, the rest of its specs weren’t mentioned, although we’ve already learned quite a bit about the OPPO Find X4 Pro thanks to a recent leak that revealed the phone will ship with a 6.7-inch screen. OLED display with 2K screen resolution with smooth 120Hz refresh rate, which is likely to be adaptive in nature.
In addition, the OPPO Find X4 Pro will come with a triple camera on the back, which will be led by a pair of 50MP cameras along with a 12MP / 13MP telephoto lens that supports 2x optical zoom. This will be complemented by a 32MP selfie camera.
Unlike the existing Find X3 series smartphones, the OPPO Find X4 Pro will also come with updated support for 80W fast charging.
