Copilot for OneDrive for the web is now generally available to all eligible users holding commercial Copilot subscriptions. This feature-packed AI tool assists users in managing files and serves as “a productivity companion that works alongside you,”according to Microsoft.

With Copilot for OneDrive, users are empowered to generate summaries of extensive documents. You can instruct the AI to summarize a single file or multiple documents simultaneously—up to five documents can be processed at once. Additionally, Copilot for OneDrive can highlight the differences across multiple files, allowing you to compare up to five documents in a user-friendly table format, eliminating the need to open each file for comparison.

Another remarkable capability of Copilot for OneDrive is its ability to answer intricate inquiries about the stored files and generate ideas for new documents based on existing content in your OneDrive.

If you possess a commercial Copilot license, simply select a file in OneDrive for the web, click the Copilot button, and either choose an action or ask a question related to your files.
