One Piece will officially launch its first bodybuilding competition in Japan! This exciting event is a collaboration between the One Piece Fitness BragMen gym located in Shibuya and the prestigious bodybuilding tournament, Muscle Gate.
The Brag Men gym, which opened its doors in Tokyo in 2023, is the only official gym dedicated to the One Piece franchise. This unique fitness center features trainers dressed as Marines and is named after a notable book mentioned within the series.
Scheduled for June 1, 2025, the contest at the Culttz Kawasaki venue mandates that all entrants don Luffy’s iconic attire!
Contest Regulations

Participants are required to wear denim shorts and a straw hat, and they must perform a series of poses inspired by Luffy, alongside an additional pose of their choice. The following are the expected poses:
- Front pose
- Back pose
- Battle stance (“Haaa!”pose)
- Gear Second pose
- Gomu Gomu in Gatling pose
- Any pose of their choice
Judges will evaluate contestants based on their creativity in interpreting Luffy, accuracy in posing, and overall body aesthetics, which include muscle definition and proportion. Confidence and personal appearance, such as hair and smile, are also assessed. Notably, entrants with excessively developed muscles may lose points; a more natural physique is preferred. The top three performers will each receive a framed version of their personal Wanted poster.
Individuals interested in participating can submit their applications via the official website until April 30, 2025, at 23:59 JST. The contest is open exclusively to male participants aged 18 or older. All entrants will enjoy complimentary gym access until May 31 and will be given their own Wanted poster upon entry.
