ONE Friday Fights 58: Marat Grigorian confident he has all the traits to reign as a ONE world champion

At ONE Friday Fights 58, Marat Grigorian is once again determined to win a gold medal while competing under the ONE Championship banner.

Despite multiple attempts, the former Glory lightweight champion has not yet been able to secure a world championship title in ONE’s highly competitive featherweight kickboxing division. Nevertheless, he is still widely regarded as one of the top strikers in the world.

On April 5, he will once again go head to head with Superbon Singha Mawynn for the third time as they battle for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing title.

Ahead of the fight night, Grigorian expressed in an interview with Sportsmanor his confidence in winning the gold, stating that he possesses the necessary skills and needs to execute them on fight night to secure the victory.

“Yes, of course. I have all the good things to become a champion. I’m just working to improve myself much more.”

Marat Grigorian seeks redemption in highly-anticipated match against Superbon

To achieve the title of world champion in ONE, it is imperative for Marat Grigorian to seek revenge against the opponent who previously defeated him with remarkable ease.

At ONE X, Superbon’s performance was exceptional as he successfully defended his title and kept the challenger at bay for most of the fight. After the 15-minute time limit, the Superbon Training Camp founder was declared the winner of the five-round battle.

As they both signed to ONE Championship, Grigorian already had experience defeating the former champion in their initial meeting, making him well aware of the tactics needed to defeat the Thai striker.

On April 5, he will aim to finish their trilogy with another impressive stoppage in order to claim the interim title and secure a rematch with Chingiz Allazov.

On April 5, viewers in Asia can watch the live broadcast of ONE Friday Fights 58 during primetime on global pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com.
