Olivia Rodrigo Age Revealed: Singer Addresses Confusion with Criminal Due to Similar Name
On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Olivia Rodrigo made a notable guest appearance on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*. During her discussion with Fallon, the 21-year-old singer recounted an amusing yet alarming experience where law enforcement mistook her identity and began questioning her.
In her conversation, Olivia shared an incident involving Border Patrol officers who confused her with an individual named “Olivia Rodriguez,”someone with a history of arrests. This unusual event unfolded while she was crossing the border from Canada to the United States amidst her Guts World Tour.
She described the moment, saying:
“We were traveling from Canada to Portland or somewhere. As we reached border control, I handed my passport, and they seemed uninterested. Then they knocked on the bus door and insisted, ‘We need Olivia.’
Initially, Olivia assumed the officer wanted her autograph, which encouraged her to step off the tour bus. She then recounted being escorted into a room for questioning by a gun-wielding officer. She shared her thoughts from that surreal moment:
“It’s 3:00 a.m. and I’m so tired. The officer asks if I’ve ever been arrested, and I’m like, ‘No, I haven’t.’ Then he presses, ‘Are you sure?’ Suddenly, I began questioning myself, thinking, ‘Oh my God, what if I was arrested and just forgot?’”
Olivia told Fallon that the officials cautioned her about the potential consequences of lying to federal agents. This revelation triggered a panic attack in her. After being asked to confirm her identity again, the officers finally recognized their mistake. She remarked:
“The officer said, ‘Oh, there’s another girl who resembles you, around your age, who has been arrested multiple times, and her name is Olivia Rodriguez.’
The audience erupted in laughter as she recounted the incident.

“Yes, it was incredibly special, and everyone was amazing. [There are] such talented singers.”
Fallon then touched upon another incident where Olivia had a mishap during her Melbourne show, where she unexpectedly fell through a trap door on stage. Describing the incident as a “beautiful accident,”she shared that she was assisted by a Filipino nurse at the hospital, who coincidentally shared her grandfather’s name, who had passed away earlier this year.
