“Okay Iga Swiatek we have to do it for your fans” – Daria Kasatkina urges Pole to be part of her vlog amid fan requests

Daria Kasatkina has recently encouraged Iga Swiatek to join her vlog, following numerous requests from tennis fans.

Kasatkina and her girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako have a joint YouTube channel called ‘What The Vlog’, where they regularly post vlogs giving viewers a peek into their lives. The main focus of the channel is Kasatkina’s journey on the tour.

Some of the athletes featured in the couple’s vlogs include Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Sloane Stephens. Nevertheless, Swiatek has yet to make an appearance on the channel.

A fan on social media remembered Ajla Tomljanovic commending Swiatek’s amiable demeanor.

“Iguszka [Iga Swiatek] appreciated by many,”the fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Kasatkina, who gave Swiatek the nickname ‘Iguszka’ in her vlog, was thrilled upon seeing the tweet from the fan, and expressed her joy by writing:

“I love that you guys are now using Iguszka nickname”

The fan then shared their hopes of watching Swiatek appear in Kasatkina’s vlogs.

“I hope one day we’ll be able to see her in one of your vlogs,”they wrote.

Kasatkina promised the fan that she would make every effort to have Swiatek appear on the channel.

“We always keep it in mind and will do our best to get Iguszka on the vlog!”

Despite fans “waiting too long”, Kasatkina urged the Pole to make it happen.

“Okay @iga_swiatek we have to do it for your fans! They’ve been waiting too long,”her tweet read.

Kasatkina and Zabiiako started their channel in October 2022 and have been regularly uploading videos since then, which has resulted in them gaining 43.5K subscribers on the platform.

Iga Swiatek accepts Daria Kasatkina’s invitation to appear on her vlogs in 2023

Last year, Daria Kasatkina extended an invitation to Iga Swiatek to join her in creating YouTube videos. In a social media post, Kasatkina openly welcomed the top-ranked player to join her and her girlfriend in a vlog discussion.

“Iga… if you want you’re always welcome to our vlog to talk with me and with Natasha [Natalia Zabiiako],”Daria Kasatkina said.

Kasatkina requested that fans use their comments to persuade Swiatek to participate in the vlog.

“Guys, if you want to see Iga on the vlog… come make a comment so she can see how many people would like to see her here,”she added.

Daria Kasatkina’s most recent tournament was the Miami Open, where she competed as the tenth seed. She received a first-round bye and then advanced to the third round after receiving a walkover against Claire Liu. However, she ultimately lost to Sorana Cirstea with a final score of 5-7, 2-6.

After receiving a first-round bye, Iga Swiatek defeated Camila Giorgi 6-1, 6-1 and Linda Noskova 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-4 in her first two matches. However, she was ultimately defeated by Ekaterina Alexandrova 4-6, 2-6 in the fourth round.
