This film will star Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby, continuing the gripping saga left off by the series’ sixth season, and focusing on the tumultuous years of the Second World War.

Since the project was initially hinted at in 2022, details regarding the star-studded cast have emerged, bringing a wave of enthusiasm among fans. Alongside Murphy, the film will feature talented actors, including Rebecca Ferguson from Dune, Tim Roth known for Reservoir Dogs, Stephen Graham from This Is England, and Barry Keoghan from The Banshees of Inisherin. The official title of the Peaky Blinders movie has been confirmed through an Instagram post by Nadia Stacey, a makeup artist involved in the film. Stacey shared a captivating art piece featuring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby alongside Barry Keoghan, encapsulated in moody black and gold tones to reflect the series’ somber aesthetic. Accompanying the artwork was the announcement, stating, “THE IMMORTAL MAN – Peaky Blinders the movie. One of my favorite jobs ever.” While the title appears credible given its insider source, confirmation from Netflix is still pending.

In August, it was announced that Barry Keoghan would be joining the cast, although his specific character role remains a mystery. The plot details are still under wraps; however, in a recent interview, Keoghan described the script as “Epic. It’s so f**king epic.” This aligns with comments from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, who has indicated that Tommy Shelby will embark on a journey of redemption for his past actions. “My intention has always been to redeem him so that, in the end, he’s genuinely a good man doing good things,” remarked Knight.
