Samsung has officially unveiled a new pair of A series smartphones dubbed as the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G in the global market. The new models bring along an all-new design as well as slightly upgraded hardware which sets them apart from their predecessors.
Samsung Galaxy A54 5G
Starting with the higher-end model, the new Galaxy A54 5G comes with a 6.4” Super AMOLED display boasting a FHD+ screen resolution and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone is also equipped with a 32 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a centered punched-hole cutout.
Over at the back, the Galaxy A54 5G features a triple-cam array comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 5 megapixels macro unit for close-up photography.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1380 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Likewise, it also features a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging support.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from four different colorways such as Lime, Graphite, Violet, and White. Pricing for the Galaxy A54 5G starts from €489 for the 6GB+128GB trim in the European market.
Samsung Galaxy A34 5G
Moving on to the Galaxy A34 5G, this model comes with a slightly larger 6.6” Super AMOLED display which retains the same FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera however, receives a downgrade to a 13 megapixels unit instead.
Although the Galaxy A34 5G also features a triple-cam setup at the back, but it gets a slightly toned-down 48 megapixels main camera and a 5 megapixels ultra-wide camera. The macro camera on the other hand is the same 5MP sensor as the A54 5G.
Unlike it’s A54 5G counterpart, the Galaxy A34 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 chipset along with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Battery-wise, it’s the same 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support.
The Galaxy A34 5G is available in four different colors such as Lime, Graphite, Violet, and Silver. Pricing for the Galaxy A34 5G starts from just €389 for the 6GB+128GB trim in the European market.
