Following the success of last year’s OPPO Find X5 Pro (Review), Chinese smartphone giant OPPO is now back to the limelight with the launch of it’s next-generation’s Find X6 Pro that bring further improvements to the already impressive camera system.
While there wasn’t a change in the total camera counts, the imaging sensors themselves had been upgraded to a larger sensor for better low-light performance and dynamic range. For instance, the main camera unit is now a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor which has a whopping 1” sensor size, while the ultra-wide and periscope cameras share the same 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with a fairly large 1/1.56” sensor size.
Just like last year’s Find X5 Pro, the camera system was co-developed with Swedish photography giant Hasselblad which plays an important role in improving color science of the photos, and offers exclusive features such as the Hasselblad Natural Color profile, Hasselblad Pro Mode and Hasselblad Portrait Mode to name a few.
Under the hood, the Find X6 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform in addition to a maximum of up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage in the memory department. Likewise, it also features a respectable 5,000mAh battery that brings along 100W fast wired charging as well as 50W AirVOOC wireless charging that’s capable of achieving a full charge in 28 minutes and 52 minutes respectively.
Over on the front side, the Find X6 Pro has a spacious 6.82” LTPO3 AMOLED display featuring a sharp QHD+ screen resolution and a fast 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The main highlight here actually lies in it’s impressive peak brightness that goes up to 2,500 nits – the brightness in the smartphone world. Let’s not forget there’s also a 32 megapixels selfie camera that sits within a centered punch-hole cutout.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Black, Brown and Gold. Pricing for the Find X6 Pro starts from just 5,999 Yuan ($871) for the 12GB+256GB trim and goes up to 6,999 Yuan ($1,017) for the top-of-the-line model with 16GB+512GB configuration.
