Warzone October 1 Patch Notes

Below are the complete changes included in the Warzone update on October 1:

Changes to Rebirth Island (Purgatory)

  • Terriball Challenge
  • Downing enemies now successfully contributes to the progression of this challenge.

Crossbow Adjustments

Updates:

  • Increased bolt velocity from 110m/s to 200m/s.
  • Reduced bolt gravity influence by 70%.
  • Brightblaze 20″ Bolts
  • Removed aim down sight spread.
  • Blastcap 20″ Bolts
  • Eliminated aim down sight spread.
  • FTAC Caustic 20″ Bolts
  • Removed aim down sight spread.

Weapons Adjustments

  • Resolved a problem that prevented new contracts from generating after the second circle.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to gain more experience points than expected from decoy grenades in Purgatory mode.
  • Addressed an issue that hindered the execution prompt from appearing while positioned behind an enemy.

  • Corrected an inconsistency with spawn availability across different map variants.

Player feedback and analytics suggested a 10% improvement in spawn quality on Shipmas compared to Celship and Ghost Ship. The recent changes guarantee that all Shipment variants take advantage of the enhanced selection of available spawns.

  • Damage penalty increased from -20% to -40%.
  • Basilisk (MWII)
  • Head damage multiplier increased from 2x to 2.5x.
  • Medium damage range decreased from 35.1m to 33m (-6%).
  • Removed far-medium damage range.

The Basilisk is now capable of delivering a one-shot kill to the head within its medium damage range.

  • Lower torso damage multiplier increased from 1.05x to 1.15x.
  • Upper leg, lower leg, and foot damage multipliers increased from 0.8x to 1x.

  • Horizontal recoil reduced from 7.2deg/s to 6.5deg/s (-9%).
  • Vertical recoil reduced from 31.7deg/s to 28.4deg/s (-10%).
  • Maximum damage raised from 25 to 29 (+16%).
  • Near-medium damage raised from 22 to 25 (+14%).
  • Medium damage raised from 18 to 22 (+22%).
  • Minimum damage raised from 15 to 20 (+33%).

Killstreaks Updates

  • Guardian-SC
  • The turret can now be deployed while the player is positioned in water.
