NVIDIA has announced the launch of its latest GeForce Game Ready driver, version 572.83, specifically optimized for both newly released and soon-to-be-launched games. A key highlight is the introduction of the Half-Life 2 RTX demo, showcasing the comprehensive capabilities of the NVIDIA RTX suite.

Enhancements for Control and Key Titles

This driver upgrade also brings substantial improvements to the recent update of Control, which now includes:

  • A new Ultra Ray Tracing preset offering enhanced ray-tracing detail

  • Enhanced texture quality and quicker texture streaming
  • Support for ultra-wide monitors with aspect ratios up to 48:9

Looking to the future, this driver is also poised to support Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which benefits from DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation through the NVIDIA app’s override feature. Another title, Warhammer 40, 000: Darktide, is set to receive an update next week that will enable native support for this advanced technology.
