NVIDIA appears to be broadening its entry-level GPU portfolio, as ZOTAC has recently showcased an RTX 5050 Ti on its official site, hinting at the arrival of a new model.
Introducing NVIDIA’s RTX 5050 Ti: The Upcoming Budget GPU to Rival AMD’s RDNA 4
The competition in the mid-tier GPU market has intensified following the launch of AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics cards. While NVIDIA’s 60-class and 70-class GPUs have attempted to maintain parity, AMD has gained a significant edge in market share. In response, NVIDIA is strategically enhancing its offerings, particularly within the underrepresented 50-class segment, which has seen only a single WeU for several years. According to a recent discovery on ZOTAC Taiwan’s page (via @momomo_us), Team Green may soon unveil the RTX 5050 Ti, aiming to capture a larger share of the mainstream market.

This announcement marks the first mention of the RTX 5050 Ti, so specific specifications remain uncertain at this stage. Based on NVIDIA’s historical approach, “Ti”variants typically present increased clock speeds and, in the case of 60-class GPUs, enhanced VRAM configurations. Given the lukewarm response to 8GB GPUs in today’s market, introducing a 16GB variant of the RTX 5050 Ti could be a savvy move for NVIDIA to boost market adoption, although confirmation on this remains pending.
For context, the RTX 5050 (the base model) is equipped with 8GB of VRAM, featuring a base clock speed of 2.31 GHz and a boost clock of 2.57 GHz, operating on GDDR7 memory. It is anticipated that the RTX 5050 Ti will maintain this memory configuration, as NVIDIA seeks to remain competitive with pricing structures beneficial to consumers. We expect more detailed information regarding the RTX 5050 Ti to surface shortly if NVIDIA and its partners are indeed gearing up for this release.
