NVIDIA RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs Still in Production, Not Discontinued or EOL

NVIDIA has put to rest yet another rumor circulating in the tech community, affirming that production of the RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs is very much ongoing.

NVIDIA Confirms Ongoing Production of RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs

Recently, we shared details regarding the anticipated NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER series and emphasized that its launch is not imminent. This clarification was necessary to counter unfounded claims suggesting these new GPUs would debut as early as next month. Importantly, NVIDIA has not issued any information to its partners about a launch timeline, making those rumors unsubstantiated. Following our article, some reports suggested that the launch had encountered delays, which was equally inaccurate, as no official statements were made by NVIDIA regarding a 2025 release.

Amid this backdrop, a new narrative emerged pertaining to the supposed discontinuation of the RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs. The story falsely labeled their removal from listings as an indication of an “End of Life”(EOL) stage intended to clear space for upcoming releases. However, such claims lack validation and appear to be speculative.

NVIDIA took the initiative to clarify these misconceptions. They confirmed that all variants of the RTX 50 series, including Founders Editions, are still in active production.

GeForce RTX 50 series Founders Editions continue to be in production. They are limited edition products, so, from time to time, they go out of stock on our website and return when back in stock.

Typically regarded as “Limited Edition”items, Founders Edition GPUs are removed from NVIDIA’s online storefront once inventory is depleted. This practice is not new as the RTX 40 series also faced similar stock fluctuations, where the Founders Edition cards were temporarily unavailable and later relisted after being restocked.

NVIDIA reassured consumers by stating the continued production of the GeForce RTX 50 series and its Founders Edition cards, which effectively debunks fears of an impending discontinuation as a result of the upcoming SUPER launch. It’s unlikely that the company would maintain “full production”of a product it intends to phase out shortly, as that could disrupt supply chains for its retail partners.

The RTX “SUPER”editions generally serve as successors to the current non-SUPER models. If NVIDIA is still manufacturing the standard RTX 50 series, it is unlikely they plan to replace them in the near future. While leaks and rumors regarding the SUPER variants have surfaced, we advise caution in accepting these narratives as factual. NVIDIA has not finalized any details about their launch or pricing, and as such, existing claims about these aspects should be approached with skepticism.
