NVIDIA has recently taken down the listings for several of its RTX 50 series Founders Edition (FE) graphics cards from its official marketplace. This decision raises questions about the future availability of these products, leading many to speculate that they might have reached their end of life (EOL).
NVIDIA Discontinues GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Founders Edition Cards, Leaving Only the RTX 5070 FE Available in Select Regions
The removal of the Blackwell RTX 50 series Founders Edition GPUs from NVIDIA’s online store is unusual and could signal a permanent discontinuation of these models. Currently, the GeForce RTX 5090 FE and RTX 5080 FE are no longer available for purchase through most NVIDIA marketplaces. However, the GeForce RTX 5070 FE remains accessible for customers seeking a high-performance GPU.

Despite the delisting, NVIDIA has not officially confirmed that the FE GPUs have reached EOL. Typically, the company indicates product availability directly on its pages if stock runs out. The current lack of listings, however, leads to greater suspicion about the future of the Founders Edition line. A closer look at global listings shows some variation in availability; for instance, German retailers still offer both the RTX 5080 FE and RTX 5070 FE.

In the United States, the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 FE cards are conspicuously absent, mirroring trends seen in the NVIDIA UK marketplace, which is also limited to the RTX 5070 FE. In stark contrast, the NVIDIA India marketplace continues to list all RTX 50 Founders Edition models. This discrepancy suggests a potential regional strategy, with the possibility that NVIDIA might eventually phase these cards out globally or may reintroduce them later.

Unconfirmed rumors indicate that NVIDIA’s actions could be a precursor to the launch of a new RTX 50 “Super”series. However, our investigations suggest otherwise, as NVIDIA has no current plans for this series, making a reveal at CES 2026 unlikely.
