
NVIDIA has unveiled ambitious plans to construct one of the largest AI supercomputers in Taiwan, leveraging the powerful Blackwell architecture. This initiative is undertaken in partnership with Foxconn, signaling a significant step forward in AI technology development for the region.
NVIDIA and Foxconn Unite to Propel AI Advancements in Taiwan with New Supercomputer
[Press Release]: NVIDIA, in collaboration with Foxconn Hon Hai Technology Group, is strengthening its long-standing relationship and working alongside the Taiwan government to develop a cutting-edge AI factory supercomputer. This facility will utilize the state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure, offering robust computational resources to researchers, startups, and various industries.

Through its subsidiary, Big Innovation Company, Foxconn will supply the necessary AI infrastructure as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner. Equipped with 10, 000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, this AI factory is poised to enhance the availability of AI computing, promoting innovation within Taiwan’s research and corporate sectors. The Taiwan National Science and Technology Council plans to utilize the supercomputer to deliver AI cloud computing resources that will foster rapid AI development and adoption across multiple industries.
Researchers from TSMC are also set to harness the power of this advanced system to elevate their research and development capabilities, achieving performance improvements that are orders of magnitude faster than prior generations.
Foxconn as a Catalyst for Technology Advancement With NVIDIA
The Big Innovation Cloud AI factory will incorporate NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra systems, which include the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 rack-scale solution alongside NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand, and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. This integration marks a notable advancement in AI technology deployment in Taiwan.
Additionally, Big Innovation Cloud aims to take part in the newly announced NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace, which will facilitate seamless access to advanced GPU resources for a diverse array of enterprises, including startups, research entities, and established industrial players. This initiative is anticipated to significantly accelerate AI development and implementation throughout Taiwan.

Foxconn plans to leverage the AI supercomputer from Big Innovation Company to enhance automation and improve efficiency across its three main sectors: smart cities, electric vehicles, and manufacturing.
