NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Launch Date Confirmed for February 20 Release

NVIDIA has officially announced that the eagerly anticipated GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is set to debut on February 20, joining the ranks of its RTX 50 series graphics cards. This new GPU will be available starting at 6 AM PT, not only through NVIDIA’s own distribution but also from various system integrators and add-in card partners.

Launch Details for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

Following the existing models in the 50 series—namely the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080—the RTX 5070 Ti is poised to make its mark in the gaming and graphics community. According to NVIDIA’s announcement on social media, the card will be launched simultaneously with custom configurations from partner manufacturers, ensuring a range of options for consumers on the launch day.

Reports and leaks leading up to this announcement have confirmed that the RTX 5070 Ti will indeed be available on February 20. MSI has established a countdown on their website, and retailers have also indicated the GPU’s arrival on this date.

Technical Specifications and Expectations

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is expected to feature a cut-down Blackwell GB203 die with 8, 960 CUDA cores. Complemented by 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, this GPU will utilize a 256-bit memory bus and operate with a thermal design power (TDP) of 300W. Notably, NVIDIA presented this model during CES, revealing detailed specifications just weeks prior to the launch. Interestingly, the RTX 5070 Ti will be priced $50 lower than its predecessor, the RTX 4070 Ti, which debuted with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $749.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Performance

Recent benchmarking leaks suggest that the RTX 5070 Ti’s performance rivals that of the RTX 5080; however, these benchmarks are primarily synthetic. While it shows potential to compete with more powerful GPUs like the RTX 4080, there is currently limited reliable performance data to substantiate these claims. It remains to be seen if the launch will avoid pitfalls similar to those that have plagued the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, which continue to experience supply issues post-launch.

Looking ahead, NVIDIA plans to introduce additional models, including the GeForce RTX 5070 on March 5, followed by the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 later in April. These upcoming releases could further diversify NVIDIA’s offerings in the competitive GPU market.
