NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ranks First in Amazon Best-Selling GPU List; NVIDIA Maintains Over 70% GPU Market Share

The mid-range GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards are currently leading sales on Amazon US, outpacing all other models with a remarkable total of over 14, 000 units sold in just one month.

The Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 series has surged to become the best-selling line across several retailers, notably on Amazon US. This series, specifically the RTX 50 models, recently accounted for 3.69% of the total market share in the Steam Hardware Survey, showcasing improved availability compared to previous months.

NVIDIA’s latest offerings in the mid-range segment, including the 70 and 60 series graphics cards, have captured significant attention. According to June sales data, the GeForce RTX 5070 led the market with an impressive 5, 450 units sold during the month. Following closely, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti achieved sales of 4, 950 units, while the RTX 5070 Ti secured the third position with 4, 400 units sold. In comparison, AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT performed well, with nearly 3, 800 units sold in the same period, yet consumer preferences still visibly lean toward NVIDIA, likely due to perceived performance and price equivalency.

The RX 9070 XT’s subpar performance can be attributed to its pricing at $549, which many gamers find unattractive, particularly amidst current market trends that make it hard to obtain at that price. Consequently, consumers are more inclined to purchase the GeForce RTX 5070, even if its retail price exceeds the MSRP. The dominating trends show that the RTX 50 series is by far the preferred option, with the RTX 3060 being the only exception from the RTX 50 lineup, capturing around 3, 750 units sold. Additionally, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5080 were able to sell 2, 950 and 2, 450 units, respectively, reinforcing NVIDIA’s stronghold in the market.

The RTX 5060 offers a competitive advantage by being available at its $299 MSRP at many retailers. Conversely, the RTX 5080 is priced several hundred dollars above its MSRP but remains NVIDIA’s only offering above $1, 000, with no comparable alternatives from AMD’s RDNA 4 lineup. Overall, NVIDIA’s dominance in the GPU landscape is evident, having shipped approximately 31, 200 units (70.51%) in June, compared to AMD’s 12, 200 units (27.57%).

NVIDIA achieved an impressive revenue share of 78.61% during the month, amassing $18.72 million, while AMD trailed at $4.88 million in revenue. Intel’s presence remains minimal, capturing less than 1% of the market share, though the Arc B580 has outperformed expectations with around 400 units sold.
