Price Drop Alert: RTX 5070 at Overclockers UK, Alongside RTX 5080 Discounts
In recent weeks, the NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards have experienced price decreases, a trend we’re tracking closely. Notable examples include Walmart’s sale of RTX 50 GPUs at reduced prices and a Japanese retailer offering the RTX 5070 for under the MSRP. Although such discounts are not the norm, they provide much-needed relief for consumers.
This time, Overclockers UK has joined the fray, listing the Gainward RTX 5070 Python III for £519, which is £20 less than NVIDIA’s official price in the UK. This translates to a discount of about 4%, a welcome change amid the persistent high pricing in the global GPU market.

Historically, the RTX 50 series has been met with high price points since its launch, with the RTX 5070 often retailing around $700 in North America and similar pricing in Europe. The Gainward RTX 5070 Python III features a triple-fan cooling mechanism that enhances thermal performance while maintaining the same 2512 MHz boost clock as the reference model.
When converted, the £519 price is approximately US$668, which includes a 20% VAT. After adjusting for VAT, the effective price drops to about US$556, closely aligning with the MSRP of the RTX 5070 in North America. Additionally, Overclockers UK has also reduced the cost of the Palit RTX 5080 Gaming Pro from over £1, 100 to £999, providing a more competitive option compared to custom editions that are priced near £1, 500.

While it remains uncommon to find such favorable pricing from top brands like ASUS or MSI, the increasing availability of GPUs suggests that further price drops may be on the horizon.
