Recent shipping manifests have confirmed the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards, highlighting their use of GDDR7 memory alongside a 128-bit bus interface.
RTX 5060 Series: Enhanced Performance with GDDR7 Memory
Despite NVIDIA’s minimal official announcements regarding the RTX 50 “60-class”GPUs, leaks have been our main source of information, making each detail quite significant. Notably, the RTX 5060 variants, designated as “PG152″and utilizing the GB206 silicon, have appeared in shipping manifests from NBD, as reported by Videocardz. These documents corroborate previous reports about the 128-bit memory bus, and they introduce three models within the RTX 5060 lineup, including both 8GB and 16GB configurations for the RTX 5060 Ti.
Although the memory bus remains unchanged for this series, the significant upgrade comes from the implementation of GDDR7 memory, expected to deliver a remarkable 448 GB/s bandwidth. This upgrade represents a 55% increase compared to the RTX 4060 Ti, hinting at a notable boost in frames per second (FPS) performance. However, the true measure of success for the RTX 5060 series will hinge on the performance-to-price ratio, especially considering the competitive landscape in the budget GPU segment.
Here’s a brief overview of the RTX 5060 series specifications: the RTX 5060 Ti will be available in two VRAM options—8 GB and 16 GB—with a thermal design power (TDP) of 180W. On the other hand, the strictly budget-oriented RTX 5060 will also feature 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, boasting 3, 840 CUDA cores. The performance leaps for both cards will mainly stem from the modern memory technology. A mid-April release is anticipated for these GPUs, with the pricing set at $299 for the RTX 5060 and between $399 and $499 for the RTX 5060 Ti.
