NVIDIA’s Team Green has officially announced the highly anticipated launch of their budget-friendly GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, scheduled for mid-May. This unveiling is expected to occur shortly after Jensen Huang’s keynote address at Computex.
NVIDIA’s RTX 5060: A Strong Competitor to AMD’s RX 9060 Series
NVIDIA is positioning the GeForce RTX 5060 as a formidable entry in the budget segment of the GPU market, aiming to rival AMD’s RX 9060 series, particularly the 8 GB variant, if it becomes available. Given the mixed reviews surrounding the previous GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB model, which faced criticism due to its lackluster performance, NVIDIA will need to implement effective strategies to overcome the challenges posed by its relatively low VRAM capacity in the RTX 5060.
The anticipated showcase of the RTX 5060 is set to occur at Computex 2025, with the officially planned retail launch date identified as May 19. This timing positions NVIDIA to make a splash in a competitive market segment against AMD during this critical showcase event.
