NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 and RTX 5060/5060 Ti GPUs Discovered in EEC Listing: More Mainstream Graphics Cards Coming Soon?

Recent registrations of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5060, and RTX 5050 GPUs have surfaced through ZOTAC, a prominent partner of NVIDIA, at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

Emerging Insights: The RTX 5050 Confirms Its Existence with New EEC Registrations

In a significant move, ZOTAC has listed several RTX 50 series graphics processing units (GPUs) with the EEC, which includes exciting new models such as the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, as well as the anticipated RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. This development, particularly the sighting of the RTX 5050, is noteworthy as it has been previously considered non-existent in the desktop lineup, despite the existence of its mobile counterpart.

RTX 5050 EEC

The registration, dated February 12, 2025, indicates that the RTX 5050 might be launched sometime after the GeForce RTX 5060 series cards, which are expected soon. This is particularly surprising given NVIDIA’s prior decision to bypass the GeForce RTX 4050 in their desktop Ada lineup, offering it only for mobile platforms.

Interestingly, while a Chinese entity named Shangke registered an RTX 4050 model in 2023, the product never reached the mainstream market. There is hope that the RTX 5050 will successfully enter the market, especially considering the current GPU landscape is lacking in affordable options. At present, the 60-class cards are priced upwards of $300, leaving an absence of GPUs costing under $300 or even $200 from both NVIDIA and AMD.

Anticipations are that the RTX 5050 could be priced below $300, possibly in the $250 range. However, a price point beneath $200 seems unlikely at this stage. Although specific details are scarce, rumors suggest that it may feature 8 GB of VRAM. Some sources previously proposed that it would utilize GDDR6 memory, but this appears contradictory given that the laptop variant is rumored to contain GDDR7 memory.

Looking ahead, the upcoming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is set to make its debut on February 20, followed by the RTX 5070 on March 5, then the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 in April. Speculatively, the RTX 5050 may hit the market in the latter half of 2025, but further updates are necessary to ascertain its confirmed release.
